Terms & conditions
These terms cover travel on the X80, operated by Albatross Coaches. Season: July–November 2026.
Fares & tickets
All fares are returns, per person, paid on board by contactless or cash. Tickets are valid only for the date of travel. Please retain your ticket for the return journey.
Student fares & the Sunday Special
Student fares (including the £10 Sunday Special return from Derby) are available only on production of a valid student pass. The Sunday Special applies on Sundays only.
Child fares
Child fares apply to children aged 5–18. Children under 5 travel free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult and not occupying a seat required by another passenger.
Closing-time policy
Operating times are based on the resort’s planned closing times at the start of the season. Return buses leave Alton Towers 15 minutes after the published closing time. Should the resort’s planned closing times change, buses will still run to the published schedule unless advertised otherwise on this website. Please check this site before you travel.
Refunds
As tickets are bought on board for same-day travel, refunds are not generally offered. In the event of a cancelled service, contact Albatross Coaches using the details on the about page.
Accessibility
We aim to accommodate all passengers. Wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility should contact us before travelling so we can help.
